Here are some answers to commonly asked questions....
Do not go swimming in pools or open water for atleast 3 weeks with a new piercing.
Do not go in a hot tub, or sit on the edge with a new tattoo or body piercing for 3 weeks
Do not tan or go in tanning beds with a new tattoo or body piercing for 4 weeks.
Do not clean your new piercing with tap water, peroxide or rubbing alcohol.
Body piercings can close rather quickly, do not take your piercing out and expect it to stay open more then an hour or two.
Do not use perfume lotions or soaps on your new tattoo.
After your tattoo is healed, apply sunblock of atleast 40 SPF or higher when going in the sun to maintain the colour.
